He's 3...Weeks that is!

Well, we go to the doctor tomorrow, so I will put up his statistics later. My batteries went out in my camera for his first sponge bath, so here is his second. We still have to give sponge baths because his umbilical STILL has not fallen off. We will also see about that tomorrow!
Look at that cute little bottom!

Here we go!

I'm not liking this Mom!

Jace on the other hand, gets to enjoy bubble baths!

Can't get enough of those bubbles!

Cade enjoying some Daddy time!

Anytime I take pictures, Jace always points to himself and says, "Me."

So cute!

Enjoying some playtime tonight!

Goodnight Everyone!

Life so far....

We have been doing good so far...
I think that Jace really loves Cade. He loves giving kisses and holding him. Now that Jace is feeling better, he gets to do that more often!

Tummy time!

Jace couldn't wait to check out Cade's new toys!

Jace is always trying to figure out just how things work!

More holding and more kisses!

Proud big brother!

My dad giving his new grandson some lovin'!

Introducing....

Cade Matthew Kirwan
February 10, 2009
2:54am
7lbs 12oz
20 inches long

I went to the doctor Monday for a regular 38week checkup. Everything was looking good and he was even talking about seeing me next week for my 39 week appointment. When he checked me he noticed that the head wasn't floating like it should. After having a sonogram, he confirmed that the fluids were low and sent us over to the hospital to have baby Cade.

I was induced with pitocin at 7:00 and was pushing by 2:30. Here are some pictures from the past two days. We are still in the hospital, and expect to come home tomorrow afternoon sometime. We are all doing well and can't wait to show him off. I can't believe how much he looks like Jace.

All ready, but nervous of what's to come!

Daddy watching over his little boy.

Daddy gets to hold him first!

Then Mommy's turn!

Aunt Sandy giving him some lovin.

Jace loves hanging out with his cousins Carter and Corbin.

Aunt Judy stopped by too!

Jace loves his brother! I hope the love continues when we get home!

So proud to be holding his little brother.

Looking precious, and very similar to Jace!

Look at that light hair!

I think he is saying, "I love you DeeDee"

Superbowl Fun!

We had fun hanging out with friends on Sunday. Jace always loves being able to play with kids his age. Below are the four boys all around 2 years old. L to R: Sam, Trip, Matthew, Jace

Jace was completely willing to sit for the picture, but smiling was a different thing!

Kristi and I are pregnant again together. Trip and Jace are 1 month apart. Cade and baby Lancaster will be about 2 months apart. It's so neat watching the kids grow up together!
I don't like taking many pictures of me right now because I feel huge, but I am also going to feel bad when I don't have any pictures for Cade's scrapbook! So here you go...me at 37weeks!

36 weeks-Doctor Update

All is well with baby Cade. I had my sonogram yesterday, and I guess because they were just measuring him, she was really fast!
- He is measuring 7lb 1oz and 18 1/2inches long. They said that the margin of error for my sonogram was about 1 lb. I just hope they aren't wrong and he is 8lb 1oz! I still have 4 weeks left!
- The doctor wasn't concerned with his size and said that everything looked great. Which means...no induction unless it's medically needed. I will be searching for a medical need on the internet! :)
- I am still measuring 37cm and still 1cm dialated...no change since last week.
- His heartbeat was 147...Perfect!
Below is a picture from the sonogram yesterday. The ball looking thing under his nose is his hand. He might be a thumb sucker!

This is the 3-D picture. Can you tell he is not happy!?!

Doctor Update-Baby Cade

Well, I went to the doctor yesterday. I've started my weekly appointments, so it really seems close now! Here are the details:

-I am 35 weeks, measuring 37 weeks....that means that I am measuring two weeks bigger. That doesn't change my due date, just means the baby is possibly two weeks bigger than a "normal" baby. He wanted to do a sonogram yesterday to check on the baby's size, but the sono tech was busy, so I will get one on Wednesday before my next appointment. Jace was a big baby, so there is a possibility this one is big too! Does that mean he'll induce?....I have NO idea. I'm not holding my breath on that one!

-Baby's heartbeat was 140ish.....he said that sounds great!

-I am 1 cm dilated. He said that was normal given this was my second baby. He said your body starts to get ready earlier with the second because it already knows what to do.

-My blood pressure was 132/84. Normal is 120's/70's. They don't consider you for having high blood pressure until the top number is over 140 and/or the bottom number is over 90. My blood pressure didn't rise with Jace until the end of the 36th week. I'm not swelling as bad as I was last time either!

Jace is doing great! Hopefully he is ready for his life to change in the next couple of weeks. He woke up with a little bit of a temp. this morning, but he is acting normal.

We finally put up the crib and dresser and painted the room. My dad and his friend put up new doors for the closet and chair rail in the room (that is what Jeremy and I asked for for Christmas). I can't believe how those two things can make a room look so much better!!

Jace helping put together the crib. It's the same one that Jace has! It's one of those that turns into a toddler bed, day bed, and then full sized bed. Hopefully it lasts that long!!

Don't those new doors look good?!

I still have to put up the curtains, wall decorations and some finishing touches, but Cade isn't going to be sleeping in it any time soon, so I don't feel like I have to rush on the small things!

A couple of weeks ago, we went to the park with a couple of friends for some fun and a picnic. I was surprised how independent Jace was!

Jace loved sliding down the slide with his friend Matthew.

Dinner with Family

Over Christmas break, we were able to take some time to meet up with my parents, step sister and my step dad's parents for dinner at Outback...yum!
Jace immediately had to sit with Didi. Spoiled much?

And then over to Aunt Ashley for some lovin' (he did eventually sit and eat....but couldn't help wanting to visit with everyone) He sure loves Aunt Ashley!

We couldn't leave without getting some pictures with Mike's parents (Papa and Sue) Jace warmed up to them very quickly.

Giving baby Cade some love too! He will be here soon!
