Pumpkins are our friends until....

I posted three posts so after you see this one, keep scrolling down!

I couldn't wait to carve a pumpkin with Jace. I was thinking that he was going to get all dirty and dig in with delight!

Helping me take off the lid....well, this was the last of his help...

....and because of what was inside and the fact that the top came off, pumpkins were no longer our friend! Jace kept his distance from then on!

He didn't even want to look! I guess I was carving a pumpkin all by myself!!!

He did come and sit on the couch at least!
Because of all his fussing, I nixed carving a spider (a pattern that came with the carving kit), and just stuck to the fast and easy Jack-O'Lantern look.
I put the pumpkin on the table, put a candle in it, and turned the light off. When I would turn the light back on, Jace pointed for me to turn it back off. At least he finally stopped fussing and acted like he was interested!

The final product, carved in 10 fast minutes. There were two teeth on the bottom, but I was trying to finish so fast, I chipped one off! It should be interesting to see what he will think of this next year!

Dancin' Machine!

I think the moves come from his daddy! :)

Silver Spurs

Aunt Sandy was nominated for Silver Spurs for people who have done a lot for cancer research. We had to dress up like cowboys, which was interesting to say the least. Don't laugh too hard when you see the pictures!

Aunt Sandy and Me

Mom, Aunt Judy, Jay, Aunt Jacque, Uncle Shawn, Me and Aunt Sandy

Out of all the nominees, Aunt Sandy raised the second highest amount! $18, 000 dollars!!

Nebraska: Sunday, Day 3

Here we are at Henry Dooley Zoo.
The rain forrest. It felt like we were outside when it was all inside. It was beautiful!!

I've never seen these before!

What are the giraffe's doing?

Yes, this is still in the zoo! I wish our zoo was like this.

Peacocks were just roaming freely around the zoo. You could get so close to them!

NOT a fan of the monkey's, but still would wave bye!

The indoor desert.

This penguin exhibit doesn't even compare to ours!

Jace loved the aquarium! You could actually walk under water!

Nebraska: Saturday, Day 2

These are from Vala's Pumpkin Patch! We had a blast!

Picture tradition.....

From last year...

They had this little show that Jace loved watching.

Jace is watching the show that is pictured above.

NOT a fan of the ponies! Good thing we got our money back!

Jace loves anything smaller than him, so he was a big fan of the bunnies!

Uncle Jared was a good sport and was a good playmate for Jace.

Of course, the train was Jace's favorite attraction.

Jace is doing "beep beep" with his hand. Just something he made up when he hears a horn.

And now the "choo choo" train motion with his hand.

Playing with the duck races.

This was so cute. Jace just reached up and held Jared's finger!

Jace and Jared enjoyed being pushed around by Daddy and Grandma.

Of course he was wiped out by lunch time. Poor guy!

Good thing he woke up in time for the pumpkin patch hayride!

We told Jace that he can only take it if he could pick it up. I guess he made a good effort!

Much better choice Jace.

It was so neat to be able to pick the pumpkins right off the vine.

Getting Jace to smile and look at the camera was difficult because there were so many distractions.
